The Advisory Committee


The role of the Advisory Committee is to review the different projects of NSS once in 2 or 4 months. They will also be a reservoir for ideas and will be available for assistance to project members when they are in need. It is also responsible for the screening and evaluation of project proposals. They approve and/or prune the budgets of the proposed projects, and dissolve project teams if necessary.



 Team composition:
·         Faculty Panel
1 Faculty Coordinator: The faculty coordinator will be the link between the IITM administration and the NSS group. He will work in close coordination with the managerial sub-teams.

# Faculty Advisors: A faculty advisor will have to attend the reviews/ workshops held from time to time by different NSS projects. They will also be ready to provide inputs to Project members, when they are in need of it.

·         Student Panel

Student Mentors/Advisors: This is a group of students who may or may not have prior experience in social service, handpicked by the faculty coordinator. They will be advisors/ mentors to one or more than one NSS projects. They will be ready to advise them through the logistics of planning and execution of the project. They will provide a 3rd party opinion for the NSS project members as and when required.
