Managerial Teams for 2012-2013!


RESPONSIBILITIES OF MANAGERIAL TEAMS

1.     Event Management

1.       Ideate and execute events involving all or many of the volunteers – eg. DOS Collection, Cloth/paper collection drives
2.       Organize the Inauguration and the Valedictory functions
3.       Arrange lectures and workshops for the skill-building and social sensitization of the volunteers
4.       Schedule and conduct Advisory Committee Reviews
5.       In charge of maintaining and updating all Event Credits of volunteers

2.     Project Administration

1.       Conceptualize project ideas and encourage people to pick them up
2.       Guide projects into formation and help in their functioning smoothly
3.       Ensure proper documentation of projects by Project Representatives
4.       In charge of selection of volunteers, and publishing final list of Pass/Fail of volunteers
5.       In charge of ensuring maintenance and updation of all Project Credits of volunteers
6.       Conduct and publish periodic research and statistics about satisfaction and professionalism in NSS activities, and help make corrections

3.     Publicity and Design

1.       In charge of publicizing NSS and its activities within and outside the campus
2.       Form relationships with NGOs and other social service bodies before handing over the dialogue to Event Management or Administration, as the case may be, if a project opportunity comes up
3.       Maintain and update the NSS Facebook page
4.       Periodically publicize milestones/achievements in projects or other NSS activities, so boost NSS’s image
5.       Ideate and create things like Calendar, Brochure, etc. Which help in image-building of the organization

4.     Web Operations

1.       Gain a complete and thorough understanding of the working of the NSS website in order to train the next batch of students who will take over in the upcoming years
2.       Maintain and upgrade the NSS website, adding the required documentation to enable future managerial members to read and understand code
3.       Help other teams where they can to ease tasks – eg. with algorithms to handle large volumes of data
4.       Help store and make available documentation and other records on the server for future teams to refer
5.       Make the website extensible

5.     Finance

1.       In charge of all reimbursements and advances
2.       Expected to use the Finance Portal on the NSS Website to record all transactions
3.       Create Finance Policy Document

6.     Steering Committee

The Steering Committee is composed of 1-2 members from each team, to act as Points of Contact with the Faculty Coordinator. Expected to ensure work of their team happens.
